The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has released an online storybook containing narratives from survivors, families and friends about the 1918 influenza pandemic. The storybook, which marks the 90th anniversary of the pandemic, provides insight for public health officials preparing for the possibility of a future pandemic, CDC officials said. The 1918 influenza pandemic killed an estimated 675,000 people in the United States and more than 50 million people worldwide. | ||||||
