This is copy-and-paste code for putting content bits in the sidebars of other pages on the nsc.org and members-only websites. When Membership News Alert changes, the widgets change -- automatically. If we ever wanted to offer them as sidebar features for member intranets or other sites, as we do for safety tips of the week, we'd want to modify them to add links back to NSC. Some of these could or do double as mobile apps.

News Alert headlines The last five stories in a single section of News Alert, with links to pages containing the last five stories in each of the other sections. This would be ideal for specialized areas of the Members Only site. Leave the iframe's source URL as it is to display the "In the news" section. To force the widget to display a different section initially, replace C1 with: C105 for the transportation section; C2 for home and community; and C4 for council news. The length is variable but can run quite long once the detailed story page is opened, so it would be best to use it as the last item in a sidebar. It will scroll if the story is long. Parts of it double for the mobile app, which doesn't quite work. Rethink. |
