Continue to check our training schedule right here on our web-site for these upcoming classes as your Texas Chapter expands its training throughout the Lone Star State.

CURRENTLY....

Fundamentals of Industrial Hygiene (FIH) is back...

*Austin - November 16-19.

If you are a safety, health and/or environmental professional or manager who has industrial hygiene responsibilities but limited training or experience in this area, attend this Fundamentals of Industrial Hygiene course.

Fundamentals of Industrial Hygiene is an essential course to take if you are concerned about the safety, health and general well-being of your co-workers and hazards that could affect them. This is a 4.5 day (30 hours) course that develops your understanding of industrial hygiene terminology, principles and practices by examining four key processes in an effective industrial hygiene effort -- anticipation, recognition, evaluation, and control.

Discussions on when to use a qualified/certified industrial hygienist are held throughout the course. Coursework focuses on industrial hygiene hazards and controls in general industry. A variety of educational and interactive learning activities are led by experienced facilitators. Activities include small and large group discussions, problem analysis through case studies, equipment demonstrations and hands-on practice, development of on-the-job plans for your facility, and many opportunities to share experience and knowledge with other professionals.

Safety Training Methods (STM) Instruction is back also...

*Corpus Christi - November 10-13 at Corpus Christi City Hall.

*Dallas - November 16-19.

NSC's Safety Training Methods performance-based training approach will help you achieve your safety and business goals. We'll show you how to reach your desired level of performance.

Safety Training Methods (3 CEU’s) is a course that focuses on the knowledge and skills required to assess your training needs, as well as plan, organize, create, and deliver performance-based safety and health training programs. While emphasis is on developing and delivering instructor-lead/classroom training, you'll become acquainted with other instructional methods and media used to effectively train employees on safety and health issues.

This course is a challenging and interactive learning experience. Combined with information, numerous group and independent learning activities provide opportunities to apply newly learned concepts to a variety of safety and health training scenarios. During the training, you will:

*Plan and design a training program applicable to your work environment.
*Learn strategies and methods that address adult learning needs.
*Complete a training needs analysis.
*Identify training and non-training solutions for safety and health case studies.
*Calculate direct and indirect training costs.
*Discuss safety and health training issues with other safety professionals.
